After being picked up from your accommodation in El Calafate, you'll begin your journey in a private vehicle along a paved road of approximately 78 km, skirting the shores of Lake Argentino. Along the way, you'll stop at panoramic viewpoints where you can admire the Patagonian steppe, lakes, and snow-capped mountains.
Upon arriving at the Los Glaciares National Park parking lot, you'll enter the glacier's walkway area, a circuit of viewpoints and balconies offering views of an ice wall over 60 meters high. You'll have free time to explore at your own pace: you can move to the lower levels if you want to get closer to the ice face, or stay on the first balconies to rest while enjoying the scenery, the creaking of the ice, and, if you're lucky, the roar of a calving event.

As an additional option, you can add the Safari Náutico:

A one-hour boat trip along the Brazo Rico arm of Lake Argentino, which skirts the southern face of the glacier. On board, you'll be very close to the ice wall, observing floating icebergs, blue seracs, deep crevasses, and hearing the ice crashing against the water. It's a completely different and more immersive perspective than from the walkways.

At the end, the private driver will be waiting for you and you will return to the hotel, having total control of the departure and return time according to your needs (maximum waiting time: 4 to 5 hours).
