Darwin Experience is an excursion that offers a unique way to explore the Patagonian steppe, paddling double kayaks along the Santa Cruz River from Charles Furh to the Río Bote Ranch. During this adventure, you'll discover part of the route Charles Darwin took in the mid-19th century through this region, making it a historical and natural journey through Patagonia.

The tour begins with a pick-up in El Calafate for a 4x4 trip to Charles Furh. There, the guides provide safety instructions and lead warm-up exercises before starting the boat trip. All technical equipment is provided: Gore-Tex drysuits, boots, gloves, and life jackets.

The kayak trip lasts 80 minutes, covering approximately 15 km while enjoying the silence, the endless steppe and the little-explored landscapes of the area.

Upon arrival at the Río Bote ranch, another guide welcomes the group with a full lunch included, with options adapted for vegetarians and celiacs with prior notice.

After lunch, the return to El Calafate begins, concluding an experience that combines history, nature and adventure.

The excursion also offers the possibility for a passenger to travel as a companion without rowing, always accompanied by a guide.
