Estancia 25 de Mayo is a half-day excursion where you visit a traditional Patagonian ranch located only 3 km from downtown El Calafate. The ranch covers 17,000 hectares and is deeply connected to the origins and history of the town. It is an ideal place to relax and enjoy Patagonian landscapes, nature, and authentic rural traditions.

After hotel pick-up at 5:30 p.m., guests are welcomed at the estancia with homemade tortas fritas, mate, and traditional “carretero” coffee while learning about the history of the estancia and the first settlers of El Calafate. The experience continues with a gentle walk around the ranch, including a visit to the shearing shed and corrals, where guests will witness a sheep herding demonstration with dogs and a traditional hand-shearing demonstration. There is also a visit to the organic vegetable garden that supplies the restaurant.

After the tour, guests are guided to El Quincho restaurant for a traditional Patagonian dinner, featuring roasted lamb, empanadas, salads from the garden, and homemade dessert. The evening concludes with a live folk show with Argentine music and traditional dances.

The excursion ends around 10:30 p.m., followed by the return to El Calafate.
